Please join us on June 11 to kickoff the parish year of the revival with our Corpus Christi procession after the 11:00 Mass. Lunch and social with Nativity's best BBQ to follow in the parish hall!
During the Eucharistic Revival we want to share our Eucharistic witness with one another and our community through a regular bulletin column. If you have a story to share, Nativity would love to hear it! Here are some prompts to help you with your reflection. You do not have to answer all of these in your submission.
How has encountering the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist changed your life? How has it drawn you into deeper relationship with God, with Jesus, with the Church? How has it impacted your relationships with God, with yourself, and with others? Are there any stories about the Eucharist you’d like to share with our Nativity community? How did the pandemic change or deepen your understanding of the Real Presence?
Please keep your submissions to 200-300 words and send to Communications Director Connor Kmiecik at ckmiecik@kcnativity.org.

The National Eucharistic Revival is a movement to restore understanding and devotion to this great mystery here in the United States by helping us renew our worship of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist.

Processions remind us that we are pilgrims journeying through this earthly existence following Jesus on “the Way” (an early title for the Church). In the Eucharistic processions of Holy Thursday and the solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi) we publicly proclaim this truth, following the Lord physically even as we pledge anew to do so spiritually. We also give public witness to our acceptance of the Lord’s words: “The bread that I will give is my flesh for the life of the world” (Jn 6:51). As such, public processions serve as tools of evangelization within our neighborhoods.
