Letter to the Celebrant of Confirmation
Your letter must be typed or written neatly. Review your letters to avoid punctuation, grammar and spelling issues.
Be sure that, even if you type your letter, you sign your letter in ink – blue or black.
Give the celebrant his proper title in the greeting:
Your letter should be your own thoughts and words but include the following areas:
The name of the Church where you will be Confirmed and Date to be confirmed.
Please explain why you want to be confirmed?
What are some of the things you have done as part of your preparation and what have they taught you? Include what you did to serve others.
What saint name have you chosen and why?
Who your sponsor is and why you chose them.
Thank the celebrant in advance for coming to confirm you and promise to pray for him as he ministers in the church.
Be sure to have a closing to your letter, i.e. Sincerely or God’s blessings
Keep the letter to one page.
