Jubilee Year Nativity Prays Pilgrimages
During this Jubilee Year, there are two types of pilgrimages through which participants can engage with the Nativity Prayers Communal Intentions. The first are organized pilgrimages, where the Christian Formation Office provides a set itinerary for parishioners and guests to join in a collective journey to sacred sites. The second are private pilgrimages, where individuals or small groups can organize their own spiritual journey to designated holy locations, or even incorporate a pilgrimage into a vacation or special occasion. These private pilgrimages offer flexibility, allowing travelers to dedicate their prayers and intentions to meaningful places on their own terms and on behalf of our Nativity family.
Organized PilgrimagesThe Nativity Prays Communal Intention Bag will accompany the group on its journey to the sacred site. During the pilgrimage, the Jubilee Prayer will be said, and the intentions will be offered on behalf of the Nativity family. A group photo with the bag will be taken and submitted to the Communication Department, where it will be recorded on the website. Participants are also encouraged to share any notes or reflections from their experience.
Private Pilgrimages
Pilgrims on private journeys are invited to read the Nativity Jubilee Prayer at their sacred site. They should also take a copy of the official Jubilee Pilgrimage Prayer Card, ensuring it’s visible in a group photo. Like the organized pilgrimages, the photo and any accompanying reflections or notes should be submitted online for inclusion on the website. Consider visiting the site of your baptism this year!
Both types of pilgrimages offer an opportunity to unite in prayer and intention, with each journey contributing to the shared spirit of the Jubilee Year.
